We are your District at Work!

Our Work

District Works

District Works provides community development and urban planning, transforming public spaces into beautiful urban areas and neighborhoods. As District Works often partners with major municipal entities, they need to put their best foot forward, both online and in print. We had previously partnered with their sister companies, Oakland Venue Management and The Bridge Yard, so when it came to District Works, we were more than ready and happy to help!

Our Services

Logo & Visual Brand Identity

We designed the District Works logo, a key part of their visual brand identity, to be bold and memorable. To symbolize their local work and make their logo stand out, we opted for a location pin to replace the “O”, giving the logo a unique flair. We ensured their name was still easy to read, for clarity, legibility, and professionalism.

As always, we provided a Visual Branding Guide including rules governing correct logo usage, a brand color scheme, and coordinating typography.

Branding Guidelines

Responsive Website Design & Development

Many partners find District Works online, so creating a professional website was essential. We created an easy-to-navigate site that incorporates their visual brand identity to create consistency. Our design for the website makes it easy for viewers to find exactly what types of services District Works offers while incorporating all relevant information. Like all Artsy Geek websites, we ensured their website looked stunning and functioned on all platforms.

Proposal Design

District Works often responds to requests for proposals, so it was crucial for us to create quality printed proposals for them. We designed stunning proposals that lay out all the important details while incorporating beautiful visuals. For one proposal, we collaborated with photographers to create the perfect images to tell the stories of a day in the life of Union Square. These proposals demonstrate that District Works provides more than just city beautification services, they’re providing a comprehensive experience for the city, its residents, and the DW team.

Presentation Design

The second half of the proposal process is an in-person presentation. Our presentation design translated the beauty of the proposals onto the big screen, helping our clients to net several new contracts.

Event Swag

District Works also regularly participates in live events and conferences to educate potential new clients and sell their services. Our event swag designs ensure they arrive in style, with branded stand-up banners, tabletop displays, a detailed brochure, and more.

Vehicle Wrap

Plain, white service trucks are boring, so District Works asked us to design a truck wrap that reflected their brand. We were happy to oblige! The design was so well-received that we’ve been asked to design truck wraps for each proposal we create for the team.
