The End Is Nigh

Here Comes The Apocalypse

The vision was clear: a no-nonsense disaster planning website complete with gear guides and silly cartoons to lighten the mood. Version 1.0 was sidetracked by COVID-19, which forced the team to pivot toward lightening the gloomy pandemic mood and helping raise awareness for social justice issues. Here Comes the Apocalypse worked quickly to add free downloads and an apparel store to help users ride out the worst of it. Version 2.0 went live in 2023 with a renewed vigor for comprehensive disaster preparedness: more than 700 SEO-optimized pages and a full suite of user-friendly products that make HCTA the first name in finishing your prep without losing your will to live.

Product Designs

Physical materials are an important part of Here Comes the Apocalypse’s strategy for better prep. Developing a set of coordinating books and other printed elements of the Disaster Bundle required thoughtful design and many hours of copyediting to ensure the highest quality items. An e-book and interactive form round out the set to make it even more user-friendly. Branded stickers, sharpies, and matchbooks ramp up the fun.
